Oh, hey there. I know, it’s been a couple of weeks since my last POTW post, so I’m making up for it with something that I’m absolutely crazy for. If you’ve been following me for a while, I’m sure you have a pretty good idea of how much I enjoy Maskeraide products. Their Pre Party Prep sheet mask is my favourite mask ever and the All Eyes On Me hydrating gel patches are a godsend.

Anyways, they recently launched a new mask that covers a territory they haven’t really delved into before – lips! The Maskeraide Tell Me ‘Pout It Hydrating Lip Mask is a gel mask that you apply over the lips, leave on for 10-15 minutes (aka while you do your eye makeup) and remove, gently massaging any leftover serum in. The lips are left feeling smooth, plump and ready for your fave lipstick.

The large gels contain a blend of Manuka Honey, Fermented Rose, Grapfruit Oil & an antioxidant berry complex to generously hydrate and soften. It feels a little strange the first time you wear them, given their size and the fact that you can’t open your mouth while wearing them, but once you get past the initial feeling you’ll love the results!

Honestly, you have to give this one a try to see why I love it so much – like all of the Maskeraide products, they really speak for themselves. Oh, and I have it on good authority that they have at least 2-3 more products coming out this year, so make sure you keep checking back to see what else is coming; if they’re anything like the Maskeraide Tell Me ‘Pout It masks, they’ll definitely be winners.

Good morning! I’ve decided that I’m going to start doing a Product of the Week feature (POTW). Each week, I’m going to briefly highlight a product that I’ve been absolutely loving – I have so many products that I’m constantly trying, and I thought it would be a great way to share the gems that really catch my attention. Check back every week to see what my current fave is and share yours in the comments!

So, what’s up this week? I’ve been loving philosophy take a deep breath night, an oil-free detoxifying gel-balm. I’ve really been riding the philosophy train lately (renewed hope in a jar, time in a bottle and their purity cleanser are among the most currently used in my skincare routine) and I was really excited when this showed up in my mailbox.

Why am I loving it? First of all, it has a really interesting texture; it almost reminds me of a foamy jello, and it’s so lightweight on my skin. In the warmer months, my skin does tend to get a bit shinier, so light, oil-free moisturizers are what I tend to turn to to keep this at bay. The product feels great on my skin, and though it is intended for nighttime use, it can definitely be used during the day as well.

When I came back from my trip, my skin went absolutely nuts, and I really think that this helped to calm it back down thanks to its detoxifying nature. It contains an antioxidant/antipollution complex to help banish all the bad stuff, so it’s perfect for bringing your skin back to its healthy state.

What skincare products have you been enjoying lately?

Planning a winter vacation? I’m currently living it up in Costa Rica as I visit my parents for Christmas and wanted to share my must-have beach beauty products. Whether I’m spending the day on the beach or hanging poolside, I make sure I bring all of these along before I head out for the day!

Before heading out, I apply generous doses of Garnier Ombrelle Sport Endurance SPF30 Water/Sweat Resistant Lotion and MyChelle Dermaceuticals Sun Shield Unscented SPF28 (available at Murale) to make sure my skin is completely protected, and reapply throughout the day as needed. I also use the new Blistex Blissful Butters lip protectant to keep my lips safe from sun damage thanks to SPF 15. After sun exposure, I like to use L’Oreal Paris Sublime Sun After Sun Rich Repairing Lotions to hydrate to soothe my skin after being in the sun all day.

What do you pack in your beach bag?

Take care of your skin in the winter with these products!

Guys. Winter is coming. The cold weather can be harsh on your skin, so today I’m sharing my winter skincare routine and the products that I’m going to be using during the colder months to keep my skin in good shape!

I like to stick to products that are going to be gentle on my skin while providing great moisture – skin tends to dry out during the colder months, so it’s important to stay hydrated! I like to kick things off by removing my makeup with Chanel Le Bi-Phase Visage face makeup remover. It quickly removes all of my makeup before I cleanse, so I can make sure everything comes off. I follow up with a quick clean using Consonant’s Natural Foaming Face Wash (all natural AND Canadian!) with my Clarisonic Aria (if you haven’t tried Clarisonic yet, add it to your wish list – your skin will thank you!).

Afterwards, it’s time to treat and hydrate. I start off by applying a few drops of Korres Golden Krocus Ageless Saffron Elixir, which helps to brighten and plump the skin, then Bioderma Hydrabio Creme to boost my hydration levels. Finally, a few dabs of Kat Burki Complete B Eye Creme Complex (at Murale) under the eyes helps to soften the skin around them and perk the undereye area up.
