Last week I chatted about the new Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation, sharing an overview and swatches of the new collection. This week I’m bringing you my very first wear test video! I decided to give the foundation, concealer and primer a try, showing you 9 hours of wear – head to my previous blog post to hear more about my thoughts.
Check it out:
For those of you curious, I used the foundation in the shade Classic Ivory and the concealer in the shades Fair & Light – Fair ended up being surprisingly light on my pale skin (and right now I’m turning into a nice shade of Casper).
Ok, colour me excited. Coty Inc. has announced that they are going to be joining forces with the edgy songstress Rita Ora for a capsule collection that is sure to be hip and fresh. As a London native with a really unique and hip sense of style, I feel like Ora is the perfect match for Rimmel’s newest collaboration and really can’t wait to see what comes from this.
“I have always loved Rimmel growing up and it is so exciting for me to be able to work with such a cool brand. I am absolutely obsessed with makeup and being adventurous with colours so when I was given the chance to make my own collection with Rimmel it was like a dream come true!” says Ora.
With the collection set to launch in 2014, we can expect to see a mash up of London street vibe and Ora’s style. I’m personally hoping for lots of colour and shades that have both a bit of edge and a bit of glam. Last time Rimmel London teamed up with a celeb the Kate Moss collection was born, and I was instantly hooked (remember my post on the matte lipsticks?), so I’m extremely eager to see what this collection holds for us.
Are you excited for the Rimmel x Rita Ora capsule collection??
Last Thursday I was invited to the Windsor Arms Tea Room (SO cute!!) for a “debriefing” after the first episode aired last week. We were joined by Brad Smith, the Bachelor himself, where he was grilled on what went down on his season. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from Brad – I’d only seen him on the first episode of the show – and was really happy to find out that he was really nice and extremely down to earth. He didn’t shy away from any of the questions he was asked, although he did manage to not give too much away about the upcoming season.
Brad + Me
Our expert beauty panel dished on the looks they did and didn’t love (Oh Bubba, with that polka dot dress, you really could have played up a cute retro look), who they liked, and who seemed a little cray cray already (cough cough – Whitney).
Expert Fashion & Beauty Panel
We were surrounded by Rimmel products (Heaven, am I right?) which is fitting, as Rimmel is the official cosmetic sponsor of the Bachelor Canada. Have you watched the first 2 episodes? Who’s look are you loving? Any standouts? Who should go home?
