  • Start off with the eyes.  Apply Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Oyster ($3.49) all over lid up to the brow bone to add in some highlighting.  I also like to apply a little to the inner corner of the eye to brighten.
  • Apply Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Charcoal ($3.49) to the crease, blending in to give a nice, smoky effect.
  • Apply a thick link of Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black ($10.49) to the upper lid, starting from the inner corner and ending with a slight flick at the outter corner.  Apply a line from the middle of the lower lash line out, joining the top line at the outer corner.
  • Finish off with 2 coats of Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black ($10.49) to really emphasize the eyes.

This year has been an exciting one for lip loves, with tons of new formulas (hello hybrids!), fun collections and amazing shades.  Vasanti Cosmetics decided to up their game this year by expanding their lip lineup.

Infused with Vitamin E for moisture, the Vasanti Cosmetic Lipshines function as glosses, though I feel like they call more into the hybrid category.  With impressive pigmentation and a smooth, shiny finish, these glosses have a formula that definitely feels like a blend between a gloss and a lipstick.  They finish glossy and are anything but sticky.  I really have to say the most impressive part would have to be the amazing punch of colour they pack – what you see in the tube is exactly what you get on the lips.  The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the scent, which is a little cosmetic (if that makes any sense).

This season, Vasanti decided to introduce 4 new shades to their Lipshine lineup – Rio Grande, Belle River, St. Lawrence and River Flinn.  My immediate favourites hace to be Belle River and River Flinn – I love how they look once applied.

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  You may have noticed a lack of posts recently and I just wanted to give you a quick life update.  I’ve recently started a new job (in the beauty industry!  Yay big girl job!), and between that, finishing off my last shifts at my weekend job, and of course the madness that is TIFF, the blog has taken a bit of a hit.  I’m slowly starting to get everything under control (life will be a lot less hectic once the weekend job is out of the way) and hopefully will be returning to a normal posting schedule very soon.  Thank you so much for bearing with me as I get through this transition period!  I’ll make it up to you with a few giveaways I have launching this week 😉

Anyways, the reason for today’s post is to share with you a new collection that I am beyond excited for.  For real.  I can’t wait to get my hands on it.  What is this magical collection that has me lusting harder than a group of teenage girls at a One Direction concert?  Why, the MAC Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection.  Yes, I have mad love for Rocky Horror Picture Show.  I’ve watched the movie a million times and have seen it live, which was fantastic (btw, if anyone knows of any shows in the GTA area in October, let me know!  I’m itching to see it again).

Well, here’s a sneak peek at the collection in all its glory.  A little hard to see now, but I’ll give you a closer look at a few items I’m most excited about:

MAC Lipstick in Frank-N-Furter ($21.00 CAD) – I mean, come on.  Lipstick dedicated to Tim Roth’s Frank-N-Furter?  This is a give in, and an absolute must have for any Rocky Horror (or deep, matte red lip) lover.  Not to mention it’s so spot on for fall. NEED.

MAC Riff-Raff Palette ($53.00 CAD) – This palette, comprised of 6 shades ranging from matte to pearly, is gorgeous.  I’m eager to see how the colour payoff is with these and can already envision some amazing eye looks that can be created using it.

MAC Nail Lacquer in Formidable ($16.00):  Is it just me or does this look like the kind of polish you should be wearing while doing the Time Warp? Yup, that’s what I thought.

Again, there’s a lot more to see, but I wanted to highlight a few personal standouts.  What do you think of the MAC Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection?  Will you be checking it out once it’s available?

Oh, and I’m just going to leave this here…
