Planning a winter vacation? I’m currently living it up in Costa Rica as I visit my parents for Christmas and wanted to share my must-have beach beauty products. Whether I’m spending the day on the beach or hanging poolside, I make sure I bring all of these along before I head out for the day!

Before heading out, I apply generous doses of Garnier Ombrelle Sport Endurance SPF30 Water/Sweat Resistant Lotion and MyChelle Dermaceuticals Sun Shield Unscented SPF28 (available at Murale) to make sure my skin is completely protected, and reapply throughout the day as needed. I also use the new Blistex Blissful Butters lip protectant to keep my lips safe from sun damage thanks to SPF 15. After sun exposure, I like to use L’Oreal Paris Sublime Sun After Sun Rich Repairing Lotions to hydrate to soothe my skin after being in the sun all day.

What do you pack in your beach bag?

I’m a firm believer in taking care of your pout (probably because I’m constantly trying new lip products & can’t have gross zombie lips in pictures) and there’s no better time to step up your lip game than right now!

I was recently introduced to the new Blistex Soft & Lush, and I immediately knew that this was going to become an important part of my lip regimen. I’ve been using Blistex products for years – I swear by their Daily Conditioning Treatment – and consider them to be a great line when it comes to lip care.

The Soft & Lush lip balm is pretty luxurious for a very affordable, drugstore option. It’s unbelievably smooth and creamy, just gliding onto the lips and bathing them in moisture. The ceramide-enriched formula softens and strengthens the lips moisture barrier, leaving them looking healthy, smooth  and, dare I say, kissable. I love throwing this on at night, especially when my lips are feeling a bit on the dry side – by the time I wake up, they’re in perfect condition. Oh, and it has SPF 15, because yes, your lips do need sun protection.

Now I know y’all want to give this a try, so I’ve got a little Valentine’s Day surprise for you! One lucky winner will be receiving a 6-month supply of Blistex Soft & Lush, along with a few other Blistex goodies, to ensure your pout is on point! To enter to win, share your #BlistexKiss with me on your fave social media channel. Make sure you use the hashtag & tag me in your post (Instagram/Twitter/Facebook)! And have fun with it! Your #BlistexKiss can be your best kissy pose or a smoochin’ shot with somone (or something) you love. Make sure you get those entries in (you can enter once a day/social channel) by 11:59 PM est on February 13th, because I’ll be picking a winner on Valentine’s Day. Good luck!

Walmart Frugal Heroes Challenge

This year, Walmart decided to declare May 2nd it’s National Day of Savings, and decided to host the Frugal Heroes Challenge to give us the opportunity to save money and live better.  I got to take part in the challenge, and had $100 to spend at the store to fulfill my own personal goal.  What was my challenge?  To stock up on all of my summer beauty essentials while staying within the budget (yep, I was almost right on – my total came to $99.90!).

I went to the Walmart Supercentre at Dufferin Mall with my friend Sandra (check out how she did here) and we quickly got to work – lists in hand, we spent the next hour going through the the store to make sure we got exactly what we needed.  Take a look below to see how I grabbed all of the summer beauty essentials I’ll need for $100.
