It’s almost that time of year again and Christmas is definitely in the air. I can’t believe we’re just over a week away from December; this year has been a really busy one for me, and it feels like time has just flown by. December 1st marks the first day for Advent calendars and I’ve seen some of the best ones yet. I’m sharing the best beauty Advent calendars for 2017 so you can find the one that’s perfect for you! There are so many different options at various price points and they’re all worth taking a look at.

The Body Shop consistently has some of my favourite Advent calendars. Every year, their team creates calendars and holiday gifts based on a theme, and this year was all about “kidulting,” embracing your inner child and having a little fun. They have four calendars available this year: 25 Days of Game-Changing Advent-ure ($139 – my personal favourite), 25 Days of Game-Changing Advent-ure Ultimate ($169), 25 Days of Game-Changing Advent-ure Standard ($99) and 24 Days of Beauty ($69). They each feature a slew of The Body Shop favourites and hide cute games and messages behind each box. Oh, and this year a portion of every holiday gift purchased will go towards International Alert to help Syrian refugee children.

L’Occitane has one of the most luxurious Advent calendars ($69) out there – it’s jam-packed with fab skincare and body goodies that will have you feeling amazing all holiday season. This year, they’ve also introduced a Premium Version ($134) of their Advent calendar for an even more luxe experience.

This calendar features 24 days of lippies, including their Butter Gloss, Lip Lingerie and Matte Lipstick, in a range of gorgeous shades. It’s the perfect way to widen your lip wardrobe and you can share the shades that don’t work for you with your pals!

The Kiehl’s x Kate Moross Advent Calendar ($89) is another that will have you feeling fantastic this season – with 23 skin and body products and a surprise inside, you’ll be able to find new favourites and fall back in love with others. I love the design of this one, which was created by artist Kate Moross.

ARTDECO Beauty

I was recently introduced to ARTDECO, Germany’s #1 makeup brand, and wanted to share the brand with you.  This line was created in 1985 but has recently started to gain popularity worldwide as it has made its debut in countries around the globe.  It’s now available in North America – my Canadian friends can find it in Shoppers Drug Mart (mainly in Ontario in Alberta) – and after learning a little about it I was really eager to get my hands on some of the products.  I’ve been able to play around with some of the core products as well as a couple of items from the gorgeous Tribal Sunset Collection.  Read on to learn more about the products and my experience with them.  One little note… If you like the sound of these, stay tuned – you just might have a chance to win a few of my favourite products soon!

ARTDECO All In One Mascara

ARTDECO All In One Mascara – This mascara claims to do it all – provide maximum volume, lengthen and curl.  I do really like this mascara so far – it comes out really black and doesn’t clump, and I really like how light it feels on my lashes.  Personally, it doesn’t volumize too much, but I will say that it gives amazing length and does curl.  I love how long my lashes look when I have this on.

ARTDECO Beauty Box Quattro & Eyeshadows in 26, 73, 93 & 94

ARTDECO Beauty Box Quattro & Eyeshadows in 26, 73, 93 & 94

ARTDECO Beauty Box Quattro (Limited Edition Colour) & Eyeshadows – I love the fact that ARTDECO makes it so easy to customize your products to suit your taste.  The beauty boxes comes in several different sizes to suit your needs (duo, trio, quattro and magnum) and can fit a variety of eyeshadows and blushers.  The magnetic strip inside the box ensures your product doesn’t go anywhere.  I love the fact that I can make up perfect palettes for whatever look I want whenever I want.  The eyeshadows that I’ve had a chance to play with are really lovely – they have a really nice shimmer, apply very smoothly and have really nice colour.

ARTDECO Eyeshadow Base

ARTDECO Eyeshadow Base –  This base is a little bit different than others that I’ve used.  It’s really creamy and soft, and reminds me of a gel primer once applied.  It does have a hint of shimmer to it to perk up your shadows.  I find that it really helps to bring out the colour of eyeshadows that are applied on top of it – they come out more bold and bright, and definitely last longer.

ARTDECO Bronzing Glow Blusher

ARTDECO Bronzing Glow Blusher in Sun Dance (Limited Edition – Tribal Sunset Collection) – I can add this to my “beautiful bronzesr that I don’t want to touch because they’re too pretty” collection.  This bronzer comes in a case decorated with an ethnic motif to fit into the Tribal Sunset Collection.  I love the pretty design of the bronzer and the three shades included in it – a peach, a tan and a pink.  They can easily be used on their own or can be blended together to create the perfect sun-kissed flush.

ARTDECO Art Couture Lipstick in 340 Pearl Flower

ARTDECO Art Couture Lipstick in Pearl Flower (Limited Edition – Tribal Sunset Collection) – This lipstick is one of the items I’m loving the most from the products I’ve tried.  The texture is rich and creamy with a ton of moisture and really great colour payoff.  This shade is a pretty rosey shade with a hint of gold shimmer throughout.

ARTDECO Ceramic Nail Lacquer in 231 Cosmopolitan Green

ARTDECO Ceramic Nail Lacquer in Cosmopolitan Green – This shimmery, mint polish is such a pretty, ethereal shade – it reminds me of fairies.  This polish applies nicely and dries quickly, finishing with great shine.

Have you ever tried any ARTDECO products?
