Who else loves fall shades? I love the collections that come out this time of year – they warm up the face and help you to transition seamlessly into winter. One of my favourite launches every year always comes from Dior and this year is no exception; they’ve played with the metallic trend in a perfect way. Today I’m chatting about the Dior Metallics Fall 2017 5 Couleurs palettes – Read on for pics of the palettes and swatches of both.
Both palettes have a nice combination of matte shades and gorgeous metallic, shimmery hues which work really well together. I love the punch that the shimmer packs and these can be used with other palettes as well to up the glam factor. They have a gorgeous effect, and a ton of pigment. I find they work really well with the Metalizer Eyes & Lips shades as well – I actually like to start off by using one of these as a primer to really bring out the full metallic look.
The Hypnotize palette has a warmer feel to it with chocolate tones and gold hues while the Magnetize palette is perfect for those who prefer a bit more drama; cooler shadows in charcoals and silver shades make this one a real showstopper. I really like how all of the shades work together & the deeper shades in both are gorgeous. The only thing that didn’t really work for me is the top right shades in both; they lacked pigment and shimmer to really make up for this.
