Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which means I’m ALL about lips right now. You’ve probably noticed that this (matte lips, specifically) have been a big focus for me lately, and obviously with good reason. When it comes to Valentine’s Day, your lips are probably going to be the centre of attention – I know I’m going to be sneaking in at least a few smooches.
Today, I just had to share the new Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipsticks (available February 2016/$10 CAD). Avon absolutely nailed it with these lipsticks. The matte is PERFECTION – one quick coat and you’ve got the matte look down, with no waiting or drying. They’re not powdery, absolutely not flaky, and the colour is gorge. I’m talking tons of pigment, pow-right-in-the-kisser colour – and it lasts. I threw this on in the morning, around 8:00, before leaving for work. By 3:00, after eating & drinking water all day, the colour was still going strong & I only needed a minor reapplication.
With smooth application & gorgeous shades, I’m in love – if my boyfriend wouldn’t get upset, I would probably ask these to be my valentine. Especially for the price! The only (teeny, tiny) thing that gets me is the applicator – the tip is a bit rounded, which makes absolutely perfect precision a little harder, but again, an absolutely minor thing.
Oh, and how cute is this Avon Hershey’s Kisses necklace? I think it’s such a sweet (get it?) little Valentine’s Day gift.
