Update: Check out my after post here!
Last summer I decided to give my hair the big ol’ chop. Lobs were just coming into style, and with the hot weather I thought that then would be the perfect time to try something a little shorter. I went just above the shoulders, and decided to keep it that length until a few months ago and I felt like it was time for a change. As much as I’ve loved the shorter length, I’m ready to have longer locks that I can do a little bit more with, and I’m sure that I’ll go short again in the future!
Anyways, around that point in time, something magical happened – Viviscal came into my life and asked if I would like to become one of their brand ambassadors. I had heard a lot about it at this point in time and was very curious to see how it performed and what it could actually do for me, so my naturally inquisitive self decided to jump on in and give it a try.
Time for a mini info session to enlighten you on what Viviscal actually is, for those of you who are unaware. So, what exactly is Viviscal? The Viviscal Hair Nourishment System is a supplement system (see below for ingredients) for stronger and healthier hair. Taken daily (2x per day, 1x after a period of time), it works for healthier hair from within, working through four stages during a period that takes about 6 months:
- Stage 1 – Viviscal Maximum Strength supplements work to noursih hair follicles from within.
- Stage 2 – Strengthen and supports hair from the inside out.
- Stage 3 -Supports the hair to become healthy and strong where it has become damaged.
- Stage 4 – Make your hair become noticeably thicker, fuller, healthier looking, and more vibrant.
Right now, I’m about 3 months into my Viviscal journey. The results are a little slower to notice at first in most people, and I’ve been told that the three month mark is when you start to notice real changes. So far, I haven’t had anything crazy happen, but I believe it’s a process that will have more noticeable results over the next few months. So far, I can say that I’ve noticed an increase in how quickly my hair grows (my roots have made sure I’ve noticed this), which is really exciting as that helps me work towards one of my main reasons for trying Viviscal. I’ve also noticed a slight change in the texture of my hair. It feels healthier and shinier, and lovely in general. Usually I notice damage happening much sooner after a cut, thus making trims a more frequent necessity, but I don’t have to go in for a cut as often now. Also, I was a little worried about the increased consumption of fish oils wreaking havoc on my face, but I can happily report that no skin changes have taken place – hallelujah.
I know I still have a ways to go, but I think that my Viviscal journey is off to a pretty good start. I’ll definitely update and will be sure to share before and after photos once it’s complete!
