Ok guys, today I have to introduce you to my new BFF – joeSCRUB.  No, for real, I’m absolutely head-over-freaking-heels in love with this stuff.  Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or don’t pay any attention to the beauty world), you’ve no doubt heard of coffee scrubs.  I’ve seen a ton of buzz around them lately and wasn’t sure what all the hype was about.  And then I met joe.

joeSCRUB is a Canadian (hell yeah!) coffee scrub that I came across earlier this month, and after trying it I can understand why everyone is obsessing over these scrubs.  What exactly is it though?  In Joe’s own words: “Let my fair trade organic coffee grinds and organic cacao stimulate and increase blood circulation, releasing toxins helping to tighten skin, leaving skin toned and even. joe‘s himalayan pink salt and brown sugar work in tandem with the coffee and cacao to exfoliate skin, buffing away dead skin cells, keeping fine lines and wrinkles in check. Soothing organic coconut oil works perfectly to hydrate skin, leaving it baby soft. Rich in minerals and Vitamin E, grapeseed oil will help cleanse and prevent breakouts while firming. joe‘s cold-pressed almond oil will protect against the elements, whether harmful UV rays or blistering cold winds. As a grand finale, jasmine oil acts as an aphrodisiac to lift your mood and leave skin with an unmistakable and alluring fragrance.”

Oh you know, just chilling with joe.

Sugar and spice and everything nice for your bod, this scrub is all natural and vegan and forms a killer combo that your skin is going to absolutely love you for using.  It’s a dry version of a scrub – I’m personally used to oily scrubs – that is applied and rubbed into wet skin.  It’s best to leave it on for 5-10 minutes to allow the ingredients to really work their magic and to provide the perfect level of both exfoliation and moisture.  Reading the ingredients listed above, I’m sure you can imagine some of the benefits of this scrub, which include dead skin exfoliation, improved skin hydration, acne treatment, eczema soothing, and a reduction in inflammation (the list goes on and on and on).  It’s perfectly fine to use anywhere on the body, including the face.

I’ve been amazed by how my skin feels ever since the first time I tried it.  My skin is instantly baby smooth and beyond soft, even before moisturizing after I’ve showered, thanks to all of the included oils.  I’ve noticed a reduction in redness when I use it, and I swear my skin looks more toned and even.  Another great benefit that I’ve found from using this has to do with a reduction in the appearance of keratosis pilaris (ain’t nobody got time for that chicken skin), which is probably one of the biggest pluses on my end. Oh, and it smells like coffee.  It’s delicious.  Perfect for waking you up on those days when you just don’t want to get out of bed, shower and drag your butt to work.

All about that scrub.

I’m not kidding when I say that joeSCRUB is my first obsession of 2015.  Honestly, I’m probably going to have to stock up on this stuff pretty soon in case there’s ever a shortage (there better not bet).

joeSCRUB sells for $16.00 a package.  And, if you order by January 31st, 2015, you can have your order shipped for free when you use the code FREESHIPPING at checkout.

Have you ever used a coffee scrub?  What do you think?
