Every now and then a look comes along that I have to share, and at this past weekend’s SAG Awards, I had a clear winner.  12 Years A Slave star and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role winner Lupita Nyong’o has been absolutely killing it on the red carpet so far this award season, and her appearance at the 2014 SAG Awards was no different.  Of course, she’s a natural beauty, but can we please take a second to bow down to her beauty and styling team for this look?  Between the show-stopping Gucci dress and perfectly pretty, colour-matched makeup, Lupita looked absolutely stunning.  Take a look at some of the products used to create this look and some of my other picks that can easily help you recreate it at home.  What do you think of Lupita’s look?

My picks:

  • Revlon Photoready Primer, Shadow + Sparkle in Avant Garde
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Radium
  • Benefit Cosmetics Longwear Powder Shadow in Rain Check?
  • Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Fascination

What do you think of this look?  Would you try blue shadow?

That blue is fabulous on her! I am olive-skinned, so while I have done blue shadow in the past (I love the L’Oreal HipDuo for this!), it’s definitely a dramatic look for me.
