Guess what… I’ve gotten my paws on some of the new polishes from the Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection for 2014! I think that I was just about as excited as Gwen is in the above photo when they showed up in my mailbox. You may remember me talking about the collection a little while back when it was announced (read on here for more info!) but now I’ve got something more exciting to share – photos of almost all of the collection and swatches of three of the shades! You will notice that photos of Lay Down the Base and Push and Shove (eep – CHROME POLISH!) are missing – these are currently not available and I won’t be able to get samples for a little while but I can promise that as soon as I have them they will be up here!
Anyways, on to the good stuff. Feast your eyes on these beauties:
And now for some swatches:
OPI Hey Baby is on of 3 Creme Glosses in the Gwen Stefani Collection. This bold, hot pink with a bit of a neon undertone is perfect for making a statement. Sleek and creamy in texture, it provides gorgeous opaque colour with a high shine finish. I applied 3 coats here but could have gotten away with 2.
One of two Satin polishes in the Gwen Stefani Collection, OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. is a beautiful soft, yellow gold. Very shimmery, the satin finish of this shade gives it more of a muted feel – but in a good way. Velvety smooth to the touch, I adore this finish (I fell in love with it in the Miss Universe collection) and really love how it almost gives off a glowing look.
The beautiful glittery gem in the collection, OPI In True Stefani Fashion is a sparkly vision. With a combination of micro and square holographic glitter, this polish is almost icicle/glass-like once applied. This polish is a major stunner, and I can pretty much guarantee it is going to fly off the shelves as soon as it becomes available. It’s beautiful from every angle and totally eye-catching.
What are your thoughts on the collection so far? Are you excited to see Push and Shove?
Please note – this collection will be available in January 2014 in salons and spas. My images do not contain the shrink wrap caps (shown in press images above), which will be used for the polishes available in store.
