THE BIG REVEAL: November 2012 ipsy Bag

This month was a little exciting for me on the beauty subscription front – I got my first ipsy bag!  Ipsy (formerly myglam) was founded by Michelle Phan of YouTube fame, and has finally come to Canada – so naturally, I had to give it a try.  With shipping, the bag comes to $14.95/month for Canadians.  The American bag this month contained a BareMinerals lipgloss, but they were unable to ship these to us so we received two other items instead (the brush and serum).  I got my first bag last week, and I love it!  Take a look at what I got:

This blending brush + pouch was one of the items Canadian subscribers received this month in place of the lipgloss  – this brush is really nice and soft – and pink!

The other item I received in place of the gloss was this Eclos Anti-Aging Cellular Activated Face Serum(15 mL sample – Full size = $24.99/50 mL) – this serum is meant to reduce the look of wrinkles for a smoother, more youthful complexion.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara (3 g sample – full size = $23/8.5 g) – I’ve gotten samples of this mascara before in other beauty boxes, and I really like it – nice applicator, lenghtening formula, beautiful results.

Starlet Cosmetics Eyeliner in Chocolate (FULL SIZE – $11) – this is a new brand to me, which is awesome – love trying new brands! This liner is a pretty chocolatey brown and it glides on so smoothly.

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Eyeshadow in Matt Batali (single eyeshadow – full size = palette with 9 shades, $34.50) – I’ve been meaning to try theBalm products for a while, so I was really happy to find this in my bag.  The shadow is a really nice smokey dark brown, which actually pairs perfectly with the Starlet eyeliner I received (see below).

Nailtini Polish in Millionaire (FULL SIZE – $13) – Love love love this – cutest name ever, and the polish is gorgeous – gold and full of sparkly tinsel, it is so pretty.
